The 2000-01 season was the best year of Allen Iverson's career. In February he was named All Star Game MVP after leading the East to a 111-110 win. The Answer finished the game with 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. At the end of the regular season Iverson was named league MVP and was presented with the prestigious trophy at home, prior to the start of the Eastern Conference Finals. Iverson led the Sixers to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1983. They defeated Indiana in round one, Milwaukee in round two and Toronto in the ECF. They faced the Lakers in the NBA Finals, falling to the defending champs in five games.
